At the Universal Cheerleading Association home camp, the East cheer team received 2 gold superior ribbons and 2 blue superior ribbons. Additionally, four Eagles earned All American status: Cisco Trujillo, Aja Baca, Autumn Pagels, and Atiana Perez.

Lizbeth received a Gear-Up Scholarship ($4,000) the Tom Sorensen Memorial Scholarship ($2,500) Alumni Foundation Scholarship ($2,500), Rotary 43 Foundation Scholarship ($1,000) and an offer of a Chancellor’s Award to the University of Colorado Colorado Springs.

Devin Klock, an incoming senior at Pueblo East "Eagle Empire" and Colorado DECA President, was one of only 70 of the nation’s top high school students invited to the Four Star Leadership with General Tommy Franks summit at the University of Central Oklahoma.

Under the direction of Janae Passalaqua, the East FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) program once again enjoyed notable success on the national stage.

Deanna will use her East Alumni Scholarship to attend the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, where she plans to pursue a degree in inclusive elementary education.
